The CC60 Radiation test facility at CERN was built in the context of the R2E project. It is used to qualify components and systems mainly for Large Hadron Collider (LHC) accelerator equipment applications. A gamma radiation field is generated with the use of a high-activity 60Co source. A wide range of dose rates are available, depending on the requirement of the test/device.
